After a hectic week meeting with future cabinet members and fighting with the press,
Donald Trump got just what he needed when he arrived in Florida Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Largo Club in Palm Beach.
Trump was met by numerous supporters, who lined the streets hours before to wait for his motorcade so they could show their support for their Commander-in-Chief.
Supporters told CBS 12, who covered the historic event,
“He’s been a resident for a long time,” said Mike, a West Palm Beach resident. “But now we look at it differently because he’s our president.
“I was out every day that I could on [Highway] 441 and Okeechobee promoting Donald Trump.”
“Hey, we’ve got a Native American and a Haitian for Trump right here baby.”

The secret service considers Mar a Lago a dream to protect. It has only three access points and the small population makes it easy to spot outsiders who should not be there.
Jason Miller, a Trump transition spokesman, said Trump will be using the holiday as an opportunity to take a brief break from transition planning and spend some time “eating some turkey.”
