After Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the presidential election last week, Pepsi CEO Indri Nooyi made some very dramatic comments against the president-elect to the press. Unfortunately for her, however, this move has now come back to bite her in a big way.
“I had to answer a lot of questions from my daughters, from our employees. They were all in mourning,” Nooyi said last Thursday, according to Yahoo.
“Our employees were all crying. And the question that they’re asking, especially those who are not white, ‘Are we safe?’ Women are asking, ‘Are we safe?’ LGBT people are asking, ‘Are we safe?’ I never thought I would have to answer those questions.”
Nooyi is a proud Clinton supporter, so it came as no surprise that she was unhappy by the results of the election. However, it’s ridiculous to say that people are literally in mourning and in fear for their lives after Trump won.
Americans everywhere were turned off that Nooyi tried to inject politics into her soda brand, and she just learned the hard way that she’d made a huge mistake.
Pepsico stock dropped 2% since Nooyi launched her attack on Trump.
Liberals need to learn that using their businesses to attack Trump is NOT a good idea! SHARE this story if you think Pepsico got what they deserved!
