U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina is a proud supporter of Donald Trump’s candidacy for President. It should surprise nobody that he is not backing Hillary Clinton.
Trump has come under fire recently for some “locker room banter” he made with entertainment reporter Billy Bush back in 2005. Some hysterical, politically correct liberals and their Republican establishment accomplices have distorted this talk and turned it into a smear.
Gowdy recently appeared at a Rotary Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and addressed the resulting cooked-up controversy. He acknowledged that these eleven years old words had caused a stir, saying:
“The comments do not reflect the values of the Republican Party or those Republicans I most admire.” Yet Gowdy was proud to say that “I plan to vote for the Republican nominee.”
He then emphasized the fact that if you don’t vote for our party’s nominee, you’ll be voting for a serial criminal named Hillary Clinton.
Can it get any clearer than that?
